FAQs - Frequently Asked Questions
1 - How do I know what squeegee suits best for me?
The easiest way is to choose based on three aspects: the surface, the type of sticker, and your experience.
What surface are you applying to?
-
Flat and smooth surfaces (glass, smooth doors, tiles): choose a stiffer squeegee — it “presses out” air and water very effectively.
-
Curved or uneven surfaces (car body panels, profiles, curves): choose a flexible squeegee — it adapts better and won’t “bridge” over curves.
Is the sticker printed / more delicate?
-
If you’re applying a printed decal or you’re worried about scratches, choose a felt-edged squeegee (the felt protects the surface and helps achieve a more even finish).
How experienced are you?
-
For beginners, a medium-stiff felt-edged squeegee is usually the best choice — it’s more forgiving and reduces the risk of scratches.
-
If you apply decals often, it’s worth also having a flexible “Gold”-type squeegee for curves and edges.
If you’re unsure, the “safe choice” is:
Get two squeegees: 1× felt-edged (for general application) + 1× flexible (for curves/edges).
That way you’ll be covered for almost any job and won’t have to force everything with just one tool.
